here.  It's been a long time for several reasons... we've
all gotten very busy with life, and online-ness has dwindled as well as
inspiration for blogging. But something really hit home with me
today, and I thought that you girls (and guys... but especially the
girls) would really appreciate it.
This site is about fashion -
staying in style. We've discussed makeup, clothes, hair,
everything girls associate with the all-coveted "beauty". Beauty
- the evasive thing every girl wants, but doesn't know if she can
really have. Only a few are blessed with it, and the rest of us
are just stuck doing the best we can - we get by by making sure we wear
the right clothes, use the right makup, cut or color our hair the right
way, work out enough - have the right body. Beauty is something
that we all aspire to.
Or is it? I'm going to
get religious for a moment, so if you are offended by that, just close
out your browser and forget about this article. Now then.
We are created by God. We are made in the likeness of God.
Think about that for a minute. God gave us, put INSIDE us some of
Himself. His glory, His power, His Beauty. Did you catch
that? God put His beauty IN each of us. Eve was the last thing
that God created - the finishing touch, the crowning jewel and queen of
creation. Women are the physical embodiment of His beauty on
earth. Girls, beauty isn't what you wear or how you do your hair,
blonde or brunette, what makeup you use, what your complexion is, or
how much time you spend at the gym. Beauty is what's inside of
you. You are beauty. Remember that. All the talk
about clothes and makeup and hair is simply help bringing out beauty
that is already there. So as much fun as all that stuff is,
always remember that you don't actually need any of it to be
beautiful.
